Jessi the Customs dog is now Jessi the Family dog. So, first the bad news: Jessi was a while ago diagnosed with a shoulder injury that prevents her from continuing as a Customs dog. The injury takes a long time to heal and even after that the shoulder is likely not strong enough to stand the physically very demanding working conditions that the Customs dogs face every day – constant climbing and jumping and walking on slippery surfaces.

The good news is that Jessi is staying with her “boss” and once her shoulder has healed, she will be able to fully enjoy a life of a normal family dog! All the best to Jessi!
