Elevated levels of D-dimer have been found in the blood of patients with pulmonary embolism (PE) and deep vein thrombosis (DVT). The elevated level of D-dimer in blood is believed to be a reliable marker of pathological coagulation.
Our scientist has discovered new pairs for D-dimer immunoassay development for both chemiluminescence and lateral flow platforms. The new recommended pair for CLIA and LF-platform are described in Table 1.
Table 1. New pair recommendations for chemiluminescence and lateral flow platforms.
The new pairs are showing good correlation (R = 0.969) with commercially available D-dimer assay (Figure 1).
Figure 1. Correlation study of HyTest pair DD3cc (capture) and DD46cc (detection) with commercially available D-dimer assay. Clinical sample amount in the study was 65 and the correlation to commercially available D-dimer assay is r = 0.974.
