Tg assays are primarily used for the follow-up of patients with differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) after total thyroidectomy and radioactive iodine (RAI) ablation. They also assist in the assessment of metastatic disease. 

Our recommended pairs for Tg assay demonstrate no detectable interference from Tg autoantibodies, deliver LoD ≤ 0.02 ng/mL in CLIA platform, and show strong correlation with the commercially available assays. 

Elevated serum concentrations of thyroglobulin autoantibodies (TgAb) are found in subjects with autoimmune thyroid diseases (AITDs), such as Graves’ disease and Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. A negative TgAb result can help exclude the Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. Anti-Tg assays are also commonly used in a conjunction with Tg assays to monitor the patients with DTC.
